Palominos Stampede Past Austin CC, Remain Perfect in TCAC Play

SAN ANTONIO, TX — The streak is alive and well in Palo Alto.

On Wednesday night, the Palo Alto College Palominos delivered another emphatic statement in conference play, steamrolling Austin Community College 89-64 to remain perfect in the TCAC at 9-0. With the win, PAC improves to 21-13 overall — and looks every bit like a team no one wants to face when March rolls around.

Full-Speed from the Opening Tip

From the moment the ball went up, the Palominos hit another gear.

Palo Alto's signature track-meet tempo was on full display as they pushed the pace relentlessly, turning defensive stops into instant offense. ACC struggled to get set defensively, caught in a blur of fast breaks, outlet passes, and rim-rattling finishes. Within minutes, PAC had built a double-digit lead — and never let the foot off the gas. The Palominos' dominance in transition proved to be the difference-maker. Defensive rebounds and forced turnovers quickly became points on the other end, leaving Austin CC scrambling and searching for answers that never came.

Green Light & Offensive Firepower

Noah Green led the charge with 15 points, slicing through defenders and knocking down key buckets to keep momentum firmly on Palo Alto's side. Julian Lacivita-Jenkins added 13 points of his own, providing steady scoring and control in the backcourt. Together, the dynamic guard duo ensured the offense stayed sharp, efficient, and explosive. Their poise combined with PAC's raw athleticism created a perfect storm ACC simply couldn't weather.

Playing for More Than a Win

The energy in the building wasn't just about conference standings. Wednesday night also marked Palo Alto College's annual Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night — and the Palominos made sure it was a celebration to remember. Each student-athlete nominated and invited a faculty member who has made a meaningful impact on their academic and personal journey. Before tip-off, those educators were honored at center court, receiving handwritten cards and flowers in a heartfelt show of gratitude. If the players needed extra motivation, they found it in the stands.

With their mentors watching proudly, the Palominos turned in one of their most complete performances of the season. A 25-point victory later, the message was clear: mission accomplished.

Next Up

The Palominos will look to keep their perfect conference record intact when they defend their home floor against Community Christian College on February 23, 2026 at 7:00 PM. If Wednesday night was any indication, the rest of the TCAC better buckle up. The Palominos aren't slowing down.
