PAC Women’s Volleyball Triumphs Over NLC

The Palo Alto College Women's Volleyball team showcased their resilience and skill in a thrilling 3-1 victory over Northeast Lakeview College last night. Every set was a nail-biter, with both teams battling back and forth in an intense display of athleticism. The match saw scores that remained within just two points in each set, making it an exciting spectacle for fans in attendance.

Leading the charge for Palo Alto was Team Captain, Harley Valdez. Valdez was nothing short of spectacular, racking up 16 kills during the match and providing her team with a consistent offensive spark. Her leadership was evident, as she stepped up when it mattered most, helping her team edge out their opponents with timely attacks.

On the defensive side, Arleth Guerrero was a force to be reckoned with. Guerrero's 41 digs proved crucial in keeping the team in rhythm and preventing any extended runs from Northeast Lakeview. Whether it was a hard spike or a quick reaction, Guerrero was everywhere on the court, providing her team with the stability they needed to stay in the game.

Miranda Hernandez, the starting setter, also played a key role in the win, collecting 14 assists on the night. Her precise sets allowed her teammates to take advantage of the momentum and put pressure on the opposition. Hernandez's ability to distribute the ball effectively kept the opposing defense guessing and ensured that the offense was always firing on all cylinders.

With this victory, Palo Alto College improves to 8-2 in conference play, maintaining their position in the upper ranks of the standings, currently sitting in 3rd place. The win also marks their second consecutive triumph, as the team looks to build momentum heading into the upcoming TCAC Playoff Tournament in April.

As the team heads into next week's match against the University of Incarnate Word, they remain focused on continuing their winning streak. With the playoffs looming, every match is crucial, and the girls are determined to keep the momentum going. The next home game promises to be yet another exciting chapter in their season, as they aim to showcase the same grit and determination that propelled them to victory last night.

Palo Alto College Women's Volleyball is on the rise, and their sights are firmly set on the postseason and bringing back some long awaited hardware to the program.
