Savannah Cassiano

Coach Savannah Cassiano brings a solid foundation of competitive experience, local pride, and a dedication to student-athlete growth to her role as the new Head Women’s Volleyball Coach at Palo Alto College. A former standout middle blocker and right-side hitter, Cassiano sharpened her skills at Schreiner University before transferring to Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU), where she became a vital contributor to the Saints’ program. Standing 5'10", she played with poise and versatility, excelling on both sides of the net as a powerful presence front and center.

Before taking the helm at Palo Alto College, Coach Cassiano honed her approach through leadership and performance as a dual-college athlete. Her journey—from Burbank High School in San Antonio, where she earned accolades like Burbank Athlete of the Year and SAISD Hitter of the Year, through her collegiate years at Schreiner and OLLU—reflects her adaptability, discipline, and consistency. A San Antonio native, she knows firsthand the community's athletic culture and is driven to develop local talent.

Coach Cassiano’s coaching philosophy is rooted in fundamentals, teamwork, and resilience. Her background as a high-performing collegiate athlete gives her a keen understanding of player development, game strategy, and the balance between athletic and academic demands.

Her vision for the Palomino volleyball program focuses on building a culture defined by:

  • Technical skill development,

  • Academic excellence,

  • Team cohesion,

  • And personal growth.

Coach Cassiano is deeply committed to fostering well-rounded student-athletes—empowering them to strive for success both on the court and in life.
